Other Information

  • This position is for 192 days which follow the University Academy District Calendar each school year (varies year-to-year, typically mid-August to early June).
  • This position will have no vacation accrual since summers are off.
  • This position will be paid on a 12-month distribution to have their pay/benefits through the summer.
  • Dependent on start date, the monthly salary will be prorated according to the number of school days remaining at $120/day.

Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks

  • Assists with direct instruction of students (individually or in small groups) under supervision of teacher.
  • Assists in student management (in/out of classroom)
  • Assists with preparing instructional material and classroom for daily lessons.
  • Assists with other campus activities/duties as needed: breakfast/lunch duty, pick-up duty, etc.

Required Education/Experience

  • High school graduation or equivalent.

Preferred Education/Experience

  • 2 years relevant experience preferred.
  • College hours preferred.
  • Educational Aide certification preferred.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • General subject content knowledge.
  • General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
  • Experience working with special needs students.

  • Copying, scanning, faxing, printing, filing, organizing.

Required Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) Years of related work experience

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field closely related to the specific endeavor of the department.
  • One (1) or more years of clerical experience.
  • Experience with Skyward and Excel is preferred.
  • Database experience.

Required Education / Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of commercial driving experience including minimum of one year of experience driving a passenger/school bus.
  • Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Air Brake, Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) Endorsements.
  • Texas School Bus Drivers Certification
  • Must pass a Driver’s license history check and criminal background check
  • Must pass a drug test prior to employment and will be subject to reasonable cause and random alcohol and drug screening during employment.
